Themes not applying

Fresh install of Debian 13 Trixie with KDE Plasma 6.3.6/Wayland. I installed LibreOffice from the Backports, which is 26.2.3.2. 4K monitor with 150% scaling.

On first run I selected one of the alternate toolbar options, but it kept the default. So I switched it manually, and all of the buttons suddenly had white backgrounds while the toolbar stayed gray. I tried switching themes but nothing changed. I installed the Office 2003 Dark Blue theme and everything except the toolbar changed. After hitting Reset All under customizations, changing the theme no longer works at all. I’ve also tried switching which JRE is used and turning “Enable application theming” off and on.

Searched around for a bit, but haven’t found anything. What could be causing this?

You may need to check the box “Enable application theming”

I’ve tried that in combination with some of the other settings and it still doesn’t seem to work.

May be you have The high contrast activated?
Go to Tools > Options > Accessibility, uncheck all box of High contrast and Disable it

Dang, tried that, too. Still no luck.

Flatpak works perfectly on an identical system I have.

Thank you. I finally had a chance to switch from backports to flatpak and the theming works perfectly. Think I’ll stick with that for now.
