I am creating a genealogy timeline. The chart changes the positions after 12/30/1899. I need this to be “zero” line to be today’s date not the 1899 date.
Possibly it is because Calc starts internally with the time calculation at the earliest on 30.12.1899.
Try to enter the respective date as text.
Format cells as text or put a - ’ - character in front of the date (without hyphens).
a birth date is a date, but your bar chart suggests it as a Duration, thats semantical wrong!

I actually want my chart to look like the one belowwith the colored bars. After 12/30/1899, the bars are blue.
