ToC Normal Text appears a ToC entry even when Default Style is applied onto the affected text

LibreOffice Version 4.2.3.3
Build ID 4.2.3.3-9.fc20

I have a bit of a problem with my autogenerated ToC.

I have been using Headings for the ToC entries to be generated, and I never made any changes to the styles or the paragraph styles.

This is my problem, and it looks something like this

Chapter 1 (Heading 1 style)
Sub Chapter 1 (Heading 2 style)

Chapter 2 (Heading 1 style)
Sub Chapter 1 (Heading 2 style)

Chapter 3 (Heading 1 style)
Sub Chapter 1 (Heading 2 style)

Chapter 4 (Heading 1 style)
Sub Chapter 1 (Heading 2 style)

Chapter 5 (Heading 1 style)
Sub Chapter 1 (Heading 2 style)

Chapter 6 (Heading 1 style)
Sub Chapter 1 (Heading 2 style)

Chapter 7 (Heading 1 style)
Sub Chapter 1 (Heading 2 style)

Appendix A (Heading 1 style)
Sub Chapter 1 (Heading 2 style)
Normal Text (Default Text style) <==== This appears as a ToC entry

Appendix B (Heading 1 style)
Sub Chapter 1 (Heading 2 style)

If

Normal Text (Default Text style) <====
This appears as a ToC entry

appears in the TOC then is must carry a heading format.

I would check all settings for:

Appendix A (Heading 1 style) Sub
Chapter 1 (Heading 2 style) Normal
Text (Default Text style) <==== This
appears as a ToC entry

Make sure that you don’t use somewhere direct formatting. This overrules the styles.
To be on the safe side, I would all text in question select, right click on it and select Clear direct formatting.
