Toolbar almost invisible

I have recently switched to Linux Mint. When I open Calc or other apps the buttons are grey writing on a grey background apart from the coloured bits.

How do I make this more usable please?

You can change the icons but you didn’t say what version of LibreOffice you have. You could try Elementary or for high contrast, Sifr.

Up until 25.8, in the menu click Tools > Options > LibreOffice > View and choose a different Icon Theme.
For 28.8 25.8 click Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Appearance and choose a different Icon set.

Note just turning down the brightness of your screen can make everything appear clearer. There are online tutorials and maybe Mint Linux has tools for setting your screen to the correct brightness. A bonus is that colours should appear more accurately.

Are you sure ??

Thanks. No time travelling here.

Sorry, version info here. Linux Mint manages updates so I wasn’t paying attention:

Version: 24.2.7.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: 420(Build:2)
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 6.8; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: en-GB (en_GB.UTF-8); UI: en-GB
Ubuntu package version: 4:24.2.7-0ubuntu0.24.04.4
Calc: threaded

I have a calibrated monitor so brightness is optimal.

I expected to find everything toolbar related under Tools > Customise > Toolbar option. But instead you have to go to Tools > Options > LibreOffice > View > Icon Theme, which is not at all obvious in my opinion.

Why there are two different toolbar configurations is a mystery!
