Transition in Impress is not smooth. Why?

Hi, I have the problem, that transitions in Impress are not smooth. Look at these two videos:

My computer is sufficiently fast, but still there are lags within the transition. Is there anything I can do about that?

Please attach a sample file, reduce the size as much as possible without private information, and paste the information in Menu/Help/About LibreOffice, there is a copy icon.

I could only find an animation but no transition in your sample file. If you expand the animation from 2 sec to 4 sec: Will the animation be softer?
You could try a real transition as well:

  • duplicate slide
  • erase one of the images in each slide
  • apply transition (e.g. Fade or Static) and customize the transition time

You’re right. It is called “animation”. Do you agree that the animation is not smooth?

I tried slide transition instead, but it always seems to be going from slide over white/black to the next slide, so no direct transition…
