Two questions about LibreOffice Calc (document background color, fill with dates)

  1. I have been diagnosed with an eye condition that is affecting my ability to read easily. I have discovered that I can read black text on a pale yellow background more comfortably than black on white. I have worked out how to change the screen colour in Writer (i.e. using the option in ) but not in Calc whilst retaining the ability to highlight individual cells or groups of cells. How do I change the screen colour in Calc please?
  2. I dave been asked to create a spreadsheet in which to record my food diary and blood sugar readings for the next few months. How do I automatically fill in a column with the Day and Date sequentially, please?

Thank you.
Peter.

Hello Peter,

This might help you.

  1. How to change screen color

Look in the Menu under → Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Application Colors

  2. How to fill column with dates sequentially

  3. Select the cells and set their format to Date (right click and select “Format Cells …” in the context menu)

  4. Enter the start date into your first cell (e.g. 17.08.2020)

  5. Select the start cell and click (and hold) the bottom right corner of the starting cell and drag it down untill you reached you destination date.

For next time you might want to create seperate questions.
That is how this site is meant to work. Helps with searching and such.

Thank you very much for your advice. Next time I will bear it in mind if I wish to ask more than one question.
Regards,
Peter.
