Typing accented ŵ^character in Libre Office Write 7.2.1.2 brings up Style Inspector pane

On Windows 10 x64, running LO 7.2.1.2

Windows is set to CYM (Welsh) language input, LO is set to Welsh language.

In notepad, Wordpad or Chrome, I can type ALTGR + 6 then W to get Ŵ . Works fine. In LO, this opens the Style Inspector pane. I do not want this. Repeated presses of ALTGR 6 W will get a Ŵ but this seems intermittent, with the Style inspector pane appearing and disappearing. It is frustrating.

I have searched various questions and replies about accented characters in LO, none of the answers seems relevant here, many suggesting it to be a windows setting or directing me to menus I cannot find (perhaps older versions of LO?). It works fine in other programs, except LO.

Hope someone can advise me.

Thanks

Ian

Open any Writer document.
Menu / Tools / Customize / Keyboard. Press Ctrl+Alt+6 (or find in Shortcut Keys), then press button “Delete”.

Short explanation: that AltGr+6 for you seems to send the same keyboard code as Ctrl+Alt+6, which is assigned to the InspectorDeck functionality (Style Inspector in sidebar). You can delete the assignment and assign another shortcut to the function.
