UI glitch - "flashing"

When I for example move cursor over sidebars or change selected cells, some UI parts “flash”.
Sometimes the top toolbar also “flashes”, but mostly the sidebar.
Any idea how to fix this? I don’t have this problem in other apps.
Here I recorded video with the problem: https://i.imgur.com/YCmDC9V.mp4

  • Arch (6.0.11-arch1-1)
  • package “libreoffice-still” 7.3.7-1
    Version: 7.3.7.2 / LibreOffice Community
    Build ID: 30(Build:2)
CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 6.0; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
    Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US
    7.3.7-1
    Calc: threaded
  • GTK theme Adwaita (the same problem in light and dark theme)
  • Graphic card: nvidia gtx 1060 6gb (driver package nvidia 525.60.11-2)
  • Awesome window manager (git version) => X
  • no Wayland
  • compositor picom 10.1-1 (same problem with no compositor)

Please edit your question to provide more information:

  • desktop manager (KDE Plasma, Gnome, LxQt, Xfce, MATE, …)
  • is Wayland enabled?
  • which graphics card have you? (nVidia cards are known to have issues under Wayland, depending on model and driver) Which driver? (open source or proprietary?)
  • is the UI interface consistent with the desktop manager (there are 3 packages for this: libreoffice-x11 = basic, libreoffice-gtk3 = for desktops based on GTK+ like Gnome, Mate, …, libreoffice-kf5 = for desktops based on Qt like KDE Plasma, LxQt, …)

Also, you seem to have chosen a dark theme. Does the same problem occurs with a non-dark theme. Presently dark themes are known to cause problems in many applications.
