Unable to enter cells into spreadsheet

i have a xlsx doc that will not let me enter or change some cells and I have not been able to figure out what the problem is, the doc or sheet is not protected in any way.
when I copy and past from another line it does so correctly but then I can not change any of the fields and it reverts back to the copied entry
if I try a blank cell the entry does not take at all.

Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to fix this please

@sokol92 here is a copy of the file (the origial has many more sheets) but it does the same thing
Try and enter a number into B11, when I do it just disappears
Line 12 is a copy/paste from line 10 and if I try and change B12 it reverts back

Thanks for the interesting puzzle!
You’re using Data Validity with the formula for the cell ranges B2:B18 and D2:D18:

AND(ISNUMBER(#ref!),NOT(OR(NOT(ISERROR(DATEVALUE(#ref!))),AND(ISNUMBER(#ref!),LEFT(CELL("format",#ref!))="D"))))

Indeed!

Yes, with LibreOffice 26.2.6.3 and no with LibreOffice 26.8.0.3

To ease detection of such “bewitched cells”:
Liberte.testxlsx.ods (19.8 KB)
The contained macro should also work if called from the standard library of the profile.

Total spreadheet madness. The used area A1:K15 contains 24 different hard cell formattings combining properties in 24 ways:

How does this even happen, I certainly did no put it there

Thanks everyone to help me figure this mess out, I have upgraded to the newer version and also removed all the craziness from this sheet.
Bewitched is the right word for this

After all, they have no idea what exactly they’ve copied! Worst-case scenario: bugs, infinite loops, pointless function blocks, mismatched formulas, numbers stored as text, illogical values, viruses, monsters. Cheers to that! Take a blank spreadsheet file and copy every value — natively, without formatting — from that Excel file into the corresponding cells of the empty LibreOffice file.
