Many of us would like to create AutoText entries on one PC and sometimes wants to use those AutoText entries on another PC. What I tried so far is copying mytexts.bau file located at Other Locations - Computer - Home - Username - .config - LibreOffice - 4 - User - Autotext pasting it into pen drive and pasting it on another system and giving path of that file on the system. I also tried to copy the entire Autotext folder to another PC. But it continuously shows the old entries of Autotext it is not showing the entries made on another PC. I also wanted to know how can I use the Autocorrect entries made on one PC to another. But my autocorrect entries are getting deleted after LibreOffice Restart. I tried this on more than one pc.

Copy the complete autotext folder to the new PC. Then start LibreOffice on the new PC. Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Paths. Click on Auto Text in the list. Then button Edit... is enabled. Click it. You get an dialog with an Add... button. Click it. You get a normal file open dialog. Find your copied autotext and then click on Select Folder. You can then decide, which of two entries you want to be writable. Only one folder can be writable, all others are read only. OK. Start Writer. You should now be able to the use autotexts from the copied folder.

I tried that before asking question here. Then retried after your reply. But it is not working.

Is the path added to entry Auto Text in Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Paths?

It might be something special with Linux. It works the described way on Windows. But with Linux I cannot help you.

Yes the path is added. I am using Ubuntu
