I Scroll right across the colloms very often while using Calc - i was wondering if i could assign a mouse button where my thumb is (M4 / M5) to make the scroll bar go to the right or left. Currently looking inside:
Tools>Customize>Keyboard - i feel like im close but not quite there.
That would depend on your mouse driver and mouse software, I guess. I have Logitech mouse and installed their massively bloated software (barely smaller than LO) just to allow me to set that option.
Not what you asked for, but Shift+ mouse wheel downward | upward will do that.
Adding to that Alt+PgDn and Alt+PgUp trigger the following functions: .uno:GoRightBlock
and .uno:GoLeftBlock
(not listed in the Customize dialog); they cause the spreadsheet jumps one screen at a time like a big Right/Left Arrow.
EDIT:
See the Navigating in Spreadsheet section in the LibreOffice Shortcut Keys for Spreadsheets Help.
Whats funny is i have been trying to scroll with ALT after realizing CTRL doesnt do it, i do kinda wish i could click on a cell and when i zoom in it would zoom toward the selected cell, that would be another way to speedily navigate, this helps though because i was really tired of finding the scroll bar with my mouse or over holding tab - is there another button to press with enter/tab that jumps it say 10 cells or so?
