User defined page size

I want to print on half letter 8.5" x 5.5". My Writer document shows the correct page size for my document on the screen. . When I choose PRINT, under PAGE LAYOUT, the PAPER SIZE choices are very limited. How can I add a User Defined size for “half letter”. In my Epson Printer paper tray options on the printer, it correctly shows “Half Letter”.

This used to work. I have not printed this size in awhile and the page layout options seemed to have changed. I have LibreOffice 7.1.5.2 (x64) installed on a Windows 10 computer.

I don’t have half letter size visible in the print dialogue if I set up a User defined page size 8.5" x 5.5" (215.9mm x 139.7mm).
If I click File > Printer settings, select the printer and click on Properties, I can set up a User defined page size in the printer driver, in your case just select the Half Letter. OK out.
I can then got to File > Print and I have a new paper size visible, in my case it is called Statement and is 140 mm x 216 mm (virtually the same dimensions but has been rounded). In your case you might see Half Letter but possibly Statement. Cheers, Al

When I go to File> Printer Settings and choose my epson Properties, there are to basic tabs, Layout and Paper/Quality. On Layout there is only two drop down menus for, Orientation, and Print On Both Sides. Neither offers Statement or a new paper size. On Paper/Quality it only shows a Media field. Both tabs have an “Advanced” option. But on both the Advanced fields there is only a limited list of paper sizes as I mentioned in my question with choices as follows: Letter, 4x6, 3.5x5, A4 or Postcard. And neither gives a User defined or Statement 140mm x 216. But, there used to be more choices that now disappeared.

That sounds like the Windows basic driver; you should see your normal printer driver. Is there another Epson printer driver in the list of printer drivers?

When I go to File>Printer Settings to the Name field: the dropdown name list of printers only shows: Epson XP-960 Series, Fax, Microsoft Print to PDF, Microsoft XP Document Writer, OneNote For Windows. I’m choosing the Epson obviously.

I fixed it. I updated the Epson Printer Driver and now it is back to normal with a much more extensive Properties Section with a bunch more paper sizes including half letter like it used to have. I think when I installed an older Epson Scan software package a few months back it must have rolled back the printer/scanner driver to an earlier driver.
