User defined Page Style Height changes after save and reopen

Can I have a sanity check?
This became a problem for me after I upgraded to 25.2.7.2 (I have restarted my Windows 11 Pro build 26100.7171), but I now cannot find a version of LibreOffice that doesn’t do this. I don’t know the version I upgraded from that was working.

I can recreate the problem as follows.
Start Writer, change the new document size in the Page Style dialog.
Width to 6in or 15.24cm - Unsure if this is necessary/relevant as it doesn’t change.
Height to 9in or 22.86cm
Save the file (‘Word 2007 docx’ or ‘Word 2010-365 Document docx’) and close writer.
Reopen the file and the page Height has been auto-magically changed to 22.90cm

This didn’t happen in the previous release I was using (but I don’t know the release number), but I’ve tried all of the current releases

  • 25.8.3.2 (X86_64)
  • 25.2.7.2
  • 25.2.3.2
  • 24.8.7.2
and they all seem to exhibit this problem (for me).

Is it just my environment, or can others recreate it?

I’ve started looking through the code, but I’m unfamiliar with it, and I’m not confident I will be able to get to the bottom of it without help.

Regards, Chris

you can try QA/Bibisect - The Document Foundation Wiki

It looks like a bug, you could report it, see How to Report Bugs in LibreOffice - The Document Foundation Wiki but a difference of 0.4 mm is likely to be less than the margin of error for the printer sheet feed or even of the paper allowing for changes in humidity.

I can recreate it on my installation too
