I like using RegEx in Calc. I found a way to use it in the Standard filter dialog in Autofilter.
Is it possible to use RegEx directly in the search items field?

Yes, regular Expressions can be used in ⇒ search and replace -dialog

Yes, if you check the Option Regular Expression you can use regular Expressions 
but you need switch to »Standard-filter« respectivly use ⇒Data⇒Filter⇒Standardfilter
