Can User-Defined “TYPE” Variables be used in GET and PUT Statements During Random file use. Like QB and VB?
I can not get this to work. Other Variable types seem ok.
If not is there another method of using User-Defined variables in file usage?

Basic only supports using Get and Put with the standard data types.

Did you (OQ) choose the tag “base” consciously?
If so, please explain.
Otherwise please edit the subject to remove the tag “base” and to add “basic” instead.

Yes I did indeed Tag both basic and base. I use Basic through Base, I therefor look at them as one.
If this beaks some protocol here, I will do my best to remember in the future.
Not at all, but it is frequent “false tag” as several people use Base as a tag for common problems, not being aware of the name for the database component.
