Version: 26.2.3.2 crashing on file save

Libreoffice is crashing whenever it goes to save data, I tried editing the registrymodifications.xcu to enable logging, but that doesn’t seem to be working either (had to edit the file instead of the advanced options dialog because it would crash on any changes to the options being applied.)

this really seems like a permissions issue of some kind, but I am unable to track down what the problem actually is.

You tagged “base”. If this is related to the database-module Base:

  • what database are you using? (default is HSQL embedded) shown in the bottom line of the window.
  • you can open/show data?
  • when comes the error: On saving a record/row of data or when you use the save-button/Ctrl-s?

Your other problems

may be a hint your flatpack is not able to write anything…
.
I would try a “regular” install instead of the flatpack.

I was using the LibreOffice from the Linux Mint repos (version: 24.2.7-0ubuntu0.24.04.4), was encountering the same problem, although I was getting some system log info from apparmor which was all being allowed… read some posts saying that the flatpak fixed some peoples crashing issues.

sorry it was tagged base, thought that meant the base libreoffice, should of been common, changed it to common.
