Visited/Unvisited Link colors do not change in Dark mode

When in Dark mode, tools->Options->Application Colors will not alter the visited/unvisited colors. But, when switched to Light mode any changes made will be reflected.

As a related manner, the default colors is dark blue which is really not very visible in dark mode. This should probably be changed to some lighter colr to make it visible.

I wonder if there is a nasty interference/conflict between UI customisation (Tools>Options, LibreOffice>Application Colors) and styling. Links (visited and unvisited) are “decorated” with character styles Internet Link and Visited Internet Link.

Since handling of dark mode is quite buggy, it is possible that these styles are not correctly updated.

I’m experiencing the same thing. None of the dark mode themes change the link color, and the dark blue links are hard to read against the dark background. Yes, you can edit the link colors, but then when you share the doc someplace like Google docs you get illegible light links against a light background. The text in the body of the shared doc isn’t white, so why can’t the links follow the same pattern? I’m running Libre Office 25.2.5.2 and Windows 11. I think I’ve seen this in Linux too but I don’t use that as frequently.

In Tools > Options > LibreOfffice > Appearance select Visited links and underneath the Customizations field, tick the box Show in document.

LO 25.2.5.2

My version of LO does not have the same display as shown in the ‘answer’. Hence, the given solution does not seem to be workable. What is the alternative for my LO?

I do have a “Customization” pop-up. Is this an alternative?

Here is my Appearance.

My screenshot was from 25.8 but the setting is the same in 25.2

In the Items field, under Customizations, you need to select Visited links or Unvisited links to see the Show in Document box.
In your screenshot you are showing Document background for which the tick box is not displayed.

Thank you for the clarification.

On my system when either visited or unvisited links is selected the “Show in Document” box is grayed out and inaccessible.

You cannot change so much using the Automatic LibreOffice Theme in 25.2.
Click New to create a new theme, or select a new theme from the list that appears when you click the yellow icon next to the theme drop down box. You should be able to tick the box in any theme except Automatic

You will need to restart LibreOffice after changing themes.

Note: the themes might not survive the upgrade to 25.8 because there were some substantial changes to Appearance. 25.8.1.1 allows the other themes, also Automatic theme allows Show in Document box to be ticked
