Watermark on only one page? How?

Hey, Fellas

I want watermark only one page (the last page), but when i try to do this it (watermark) applies on each page… And there no other options that i can see for adding watermark on single page.
how can i fix it?

using 7.5.3.2

Thank You

Create and apply a different Page Style for tis task.
…And use the native, international standard ODF file types. (The MS file formats can not handle the Page Styles.)

A watermark is a Writer feature to simulate specific stationery. Requesting a “watermark” only on the last page does not fit in this model.

You can of course use @Grantler’s solution (a specific page style for the last page) which is compatible with the model, but may not be satisfactory for your case if the last page is not independent from the preceding one (in other words, this is the last page of the argumentation, not a back cover, single-page TOC, single-page index, …).

  • switching to another page style needs a page break which can leave a lot of white space
  • location of this manual page break must be changed if you edit last page contents (creating a new last page)
  • inserting a page break will interfere with layout and justification, making obvious to your readers that “something” happened between last page and the preceding one.

So, if your last page is just the continuation of the previous ones, I’d recommend inserting a frame anchored to the last character of the last paragraph in the last page. The frame can contain any graphical decoration you like and it can be positioned anywhere in the page and even sent to the background. For text at any angle, use Draw.

According to help page Page Watermark a watermark is inserted via menu Format. If you do so a macro will apply the watermark to each page style you use. With the navigator you can delete the watermark for single page styles. Or you select each watermark on every page style and delete successively.
What is a watermark?
A watermark seems to be a rotated textbox, anchored in the header, spread in text area, some transparency, sent to back. It can be selected on shortcut CTRL+left mouse.
Problems
I could not edit the properties of the watermark on my machine.
How to generate a watermark for a single page
Probably you generate a watermark as shown above and apply an additional page style for a single page. Then you may delete the watermark for each other page styles (Navigator).

IMHO the better choice:
Or you manage to design a single watermark with the drawing tools, anchor to (first) paragraph of the watermarked page (text area).
You also can copy the selected watermark into the clipboard and paste into the (first) paragraph of the text area (after having deleted the watermark for each used page style).

Cheers
