I have a Mac Pro running OS 10.6.8
It is NOT feasible to upgrade the Operating System (because then my other software will NOT work)
I would like to be able to use Libre Office

Further to previous, WHICH version of 4.3, please?

LibreOffice 4.3 can still run on OS X
10.6+, but please understand that this support ended when 4.3 was retired on
May 27, 2015

I have no idea which is “best”; l I would assume later is probably better. You could read the relevant release notes, or even just try it and see.
