Since I upgraded my iMac it no longer works. Symbols on icons are half hidden, and when I try to do anything it crashes and goes to document recovery screen.
The work around for the iMac seems to be changing the display profile.
I do not have an iMac so I have not tested this. It is information that I found trying to correct LO problems on my MacBook Pro.
- I do not make system changes with any applications running, so close all applications.
- Go to System Preferences>Displays. Select the color button and change color profile to “Generic RGB Profile”.
- I am not sure if the system will force a restart but I always do a restart after making system changes.
- After the restart test LO to see if the problem has been corrected.
If your problem has not been corrected add a comment to your post with: any error messages, iMac model, LO version you are using.
You could also try the latest development build to see if that may correct your problems. I am running 5.2.3.1 on my MacBook Pro.
i’ve confirmed, using the Generic RGB profile fixes the crashes and icon distortions in LO. However, attempting to use a calibrated version of Generic RGB doesn’t work, i.e., behaves the same as the iMac profile. Simple test is to select About LibreOffice from the pull down menu, if it hangs, its broken. This testing was done with 5.2.2.2.
