Where did the bullets go?

Hi. I’m working on a PowerPoint presentation. I would like to include a bulleted list of text items. Normally this is easy: there’s a bullet icon along the top. But I can no longer find that icon. How can I create a bulleted list of text items? How can I get the bullet icon back?

Choose menu Format - Lists - various options.

To see the Toggle Bulleted List button, choose menu View - Toolbars - Text Formatting.

LibreOffice Help on Using Toolbars.

Thanks for the help. However, I tried what you said and it did not work. I still do not see the bullets icon.

The toolbar must be hidden (possibly to the right).

Try with F6 once and again, and see how the selection jumps from one toolbar to other, and to the Presentation content, and all again. So you must guess when the Text Formatting toolbar is selected, then press Ctrl+Shift+F10 to undock the toolbar (or press the context menu key (near the right Ctrl key), unselect Lock Toolbar Position or Undock Toolbar).

Thanks again for the help. Unfortunately none of the things you suggested made any difference. I’m going to copy the file to a Microsoft Windows PC and edit it there. That’s a lot easier and I just don’t want to deal with the LibreOffice hassle right now. Thanks again.

I think you might be on a later version than LeroyG. In 7.2.4.1 the bullets are called Unordered list, so in the menu Format > Lists > Unordered list

In the Sidebar it is under Properties > Lists > Toggle unordered list

You can click View > Toolbars > Text Formatting to add the toolbar to your window. The toolbar includes Toggle unordered list
