I have checked all the save setting I am aware of but my Libreoffice files save as .odt but display in the finder with the MS Word logo and open with MS Word? How do I change this so that Libreoffice is the default?
Please edit into your question all relevant information (OS, LibO version, etc.) – in this case, it’s your OS that is crucial. I suspect Mac OSX, but better to specify. Thanks.
Your question does not actually relate to LibreOffice, but to your operating system / desktop environment. Read the respective manual.
