Why do Writer docs not show up in My Documents

I am trying to edit and email a poem. but when i try to add it to the email i cannot find it in my documents. where is it?

Hello @alexo,

To find the location of your saved document, you could perform the following steps:

1. Open the Writer program,
2. Click on the menu "File : Recent Documents...", and select your saved document,
3. In the menu "File : Properties...", click on the tab called "General",
4. At "Location:" you can see the path to your document.
