Hi there, I’ve been using LibreOffice for several years, currently using 7.5.0.3. Each spring I repeat a series of Impress presentations for schoolkids. Every year I have to insert all the media files (audio and video files from my computer) into the presentation again, sometimes more than once, even though I have not changed any of the file paths. The icons still show up in the presentation, but they don’t produce any sounds or video. It’s a lot of extra work…any ideas why? Also, is there a Presenter View that includes slide notes, like in MS Powerpoint? I know there wasn’t last time I looked into it, but maybe there’s a hidden upgrade?

file type in which saved your file
Increase your LibreOffice version to 7.5.2 or go back to 7.4.6.
These are the currently recommended versions.
Your media should always be in the same directory as the presentation.
Also, is there a Presenter View that includes slide notes, like in MS Powerpoint?
View > Notes menu
