Why doesn'T libre office 5.2.0.4 recognize my JRE installation on mac os X??

Hi!

Running Mac OS X 10.11.6 (15G31)

Just upgraded to Libre Office 5.2.0.4 and i got error message: JRE is defective

I can’t tell LO to load JRE as every time I go in Preferences → Advanced and try to choose the path to the JRE installation, I get a error message,.

It was working fine before I upgraded, I’m using a zotero extension in LO and it was working ok, just before I upgraded.

oh and when I go in Terminal and type java -version, I get this:

java version “1.6.0_65” Java™ SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_65-b14-468-11M4833)
Java HotSpot™ 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.65-b04-468, mixed mode)

and also this is the LO version:
Version: 5.2.0.4 Build ID: 066b007f5ebcc236395c7d282ba488bca6720265 CPU Threads: 4;
OS Version: Mac OS X 10.11.6; UI Render: default; Locale: fr-CA (en.UTF-8)

How can I fix this?

Starting with LO v5.x you need JDK not JRE (Mac only!). See this post: click here.

ok, wow! that’s too bad. It worked fine for me. LO recognized JDK 8, but I still can’t get my Zotero extension to work in LibreOffice.

But that’s gonna be a question for the Zotero forum I think. https://forums.zotero.org

Tsk!

Alex.
