Why is the information in the second column of a table not saving properly

I have made a two column table with information in both columns and then saved. On restarting all information in the second column has changed to the numeral 0. Any idea why?

Posting twice is useless, counter-productive and harmful because you could receive cross-answers which may be contradictory without the possibility to clearly detect this situation.

Uncheck Table>Number Recognition.

This feature was added to offer a limited spreadsheet function in Writer to avoid inserting an OLE object, but IMHO it proves rather harmful for the vast majority of Writer tables which are supposed to contain text.
