Window size and placement not remembered

I am using Libreoffice 5.0.1 for OSx. (10.10.5)

Every time I open an attendance spreadsheet, it opens in a rectangle in the middle of the screen. I have to drag it to the left edge and resize to about 3/4 of the screen. This is never remembered. If I close the file and reopen, I have to do the same thing.

If I drag the initial “file choice” window that loads at start up before I open a file, that position is remembered, but the size is not.

Is there any way to have the window size and position remembered between uses?

I have the same problem . It’s odd because I’m fairly certain that previous versions didn’t behave like this , yet I see unresolved issues with it going back to 2012 .

It’s a tedious bug because it inconveniences the user every single time they use LO . I’m using 4.4.5.2 on Win 7 . The vast majority of programs take focus and size properly when opened , so LO really stands out from the crowd .
