I use version 5.0.1.2 on Antergos (Arch) Linux. When clicking on the Fonts drop-down menu, it keeps exiting the program.

Restart with a Default profile (Q58416). If that fails then submit a bug-report (or use the Bug Submission Assistant).
That is all par for the course when you make use of LibreOffice Fresh. If you want a less-exciting life then install from Libreoffice Still (stable) instead.
