Writer date field background color

I frequently use a keyboard shortcut to insert the current date in Writer documents. After I recently changed my template to a dark grey 3 background with white text, the date field background is almost white, making the text unreadable. A screenshot is attached. How can I change the background color of the date field? Thanks for any help.

In Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Application Colours > Text Document change the setting back to Automatic
