Writer doesn't show every type face of an installed font

Hello together,

I’m using LO Writer since a few months on MacOS (v26.0.1 (25A362)).

When I recently installed a font with 16 type faces (yes, it’s a typographic font) and I wanted t use a certain one of them, I couldn’t find it in the list whilst other type faces are shown.

The interesting thing is that all type faces are available in other software, e. g. Photoshop. So I can at least say that it’s not about the font installation on the OS.

Is there any solution for this problem?

Many thanks in advance!

@mikekaganski Many thanks for your fast response. It’s the first time I’m really disappointed of LO.

Just found out one more interesting thing:

On MacOS there seem to be some fonts for which LO is showing all available type faces which means that it should be possible to have a solution. In this case its “Helvetica Neue” and it shows all 14 type faces.

Maybe this information could be useful.

I assume you didn’t read the bug report in detail. It is possible to solve this. But one of the obstacles is: How to solve this, without breaking the font-references used for the last 25 years (and existing files).
