Hi all,
For a while now when I open a Writer document I get the spinning hour glass for maybe 5 or so seconds before I can do anything. I have disabled automatic updates and It’s no biggie but opening files used to be almost instant. Any reason this may be happening?
Please attach a sample file, reduce the size as much as possible without private information,
and paste the information in Menu/Help/About LibreOffice, there is a copy icon.

Have you long tables spanning page breaks? Are your paragraphs delimited by paragraph breaks Enter or line breaks Shift+Enter?
Ha ha, methinks you have hit the nail on the proverbial head. Particular files I often use are over three pages of tables. I copied/pasted a shorter 1 page and it opened as normal (quickly). Thanks for the help, consider it solved.
