I have a form set up in an .odt file that is tied to a registered .odb in LO 7.5.7 for Windows. The .odt is the frontend for a MySql (5.7.19) DB through the mysql-connector-java-5.1.44-bin.jar. I landed on this setup after a lot of fighting with incompatibilities between installed versions of java/connector/MySql/LibreOffice. That was years ago, but I still get the same sort of physicialogical reaction to thinking about it as if it were yesterday. Hence, my general aversion to changing anything.
Unfortunately, I’ve run up against a bug that apparently has been around for a while. The form has a date control tied to a timestamp field in the DB, and when I try to export the form to a .pdf with a record displayed, that control does not display the date from the record, but rather, displays a value cached in the control. I installed LO 7.6.7 alongside the 7.5.7 in hopes that the bug had been fixed in that version, but alas, opening the .odt file in 7.6.7, navigating to the record, and exporting still results in a .pdf with that cached date in that control.
Does anyone know of a way to get Writer to re-query the form row buffer and trigger a control refresh on PDF export?
Yes, I know my setup goes way beyond the intent behind Base, etc.
Thanks if you’re still reading, and especially if you can help me!
