I have a document that says, “(see paragraph 81)”, which is a numbered paragraph several pages earlier in the document. I want to set a reference that goes to that number paragraph. I have tried and tried many different times now by going to Insert>Cross-Reference>Set Reference and naming the reference, “Paragraph 81” and clicking “Insert”. Then clicking on Insert Reference>Refer using: Reference Text, then clicking on Insert,. But this does nothing. I have tried various other combinations, but none just take me to paragraph 81. I used to know how to do this but now I can’t recall it. Please help me remember.
Step 1: Set cross reference in § 81 (create name, say P81; value must be a minimum of one ore more selected character/s)
Step 2: Insert reference in currently used text (choose referenced text or chapter or page number, e. g.)
Step 3: Test the connection (use CTRL + mouse click)
