Writer keeps jumping to where my cursor is when I'm trying to scroll up or down

Whenever I am trying to scroll up or down to look at another line in a Writer document, Writer will just repeatedly jump back to wherever the text cursor is in the document. Is there a way to get this to stop happening? I couldn’t find any posts on here that discussed the same issue I’m having here.

LibreOffice Version: 24.2.2.2 via Flatpak
OS: risiOS 38 (based on Fedora 38, waiting on merge into Nobara 40)

like mouse wheel ? keys ? V. scrollbar ?
