Hello, I wonder whether this TeXMaths bad equation alignment issue has a solution, or a workaround, or at least was reported before.
The alignment when pressing the “Latex” button for either Display of Inline TeX equation inserts is approximately a third of a character height too low, i.e. just unusable for even typesetting informal documents with very easy stuff, e.g.
\beta \in \mathbb{R}
Even a single letter, e.g. \beta, is wrong. Any pointers anyone ?

I’ve never used TeXMaths, so this is only general consideration.
How is the equation “inserted” into Writer? Does it reside in a frame? How is this frame anchored? If it is “As character”, you can adjust position of this frame relative to baseline.
