I have an image that is square, but I’m pretty sure that if I could change into an oval, a part of the photo wouldn’t show (which is good). I can’t crop out the part I don’t want, because it would cut off part of the main image. How do I do this?
Any shape with an ‘Area’ can be set to ‘Bitmap’ mode in the area dialog. Now you can import any picture (in my case always jpeg) and fit it to your needs changing the available setting. It may require a bit practising and playing around to get what you want. A new approach is best started with setting to ‘Original’. The image will not get “hard-cropped”.
