How/why do some worksheet tabs have SORT buttons on every cell in row 1?

The SORT buttons appear at the right side of every Row 1 cell. On some but not all tabs within a worksheet. SORT command-buttons do not appear on a new worksheet, but they do appear if I copy a tab to create a new tab. So this must be an option I selected on some current tabs. How can I get rid of these Sort command-buttons?

I believe you may have click your pull down, Data, then clicked AutoFilter! Just click AutoFilter under Data pull down again and they should disappear.
