How do I take off a white page in Writer?

I had a 1 page Writer document.
I added a table, which fitted in the page, but since it just about fitted, Writer opened a second page.
Now I can’t remove the second page, although it’s empty.
How can I remove it?

You can also adjust the margins on the page to make a little more space for items on the page.
