I want to use your office program to write my messages. I need to copy and paste bible verses but the first verse that the bible program finds is always highlighted with a light background. How do I get rid of it?

Hi @fireball. Here is a Bible program that you may find very helpful, saves, selected verses and sorts them Biblically before you copy and paste, with much more it to use. http://bit.ly/dailydesire.

Edit -> Paste Special (Ctrl+Shift+V). Paste as unformatted text.

Or, check the following possibilities for text that has already been pasted with formatting.

  • Format -> Clear Direct Formatting (Ctrl+M)
  • In the sidebar, set paragraph style to Default Style. Likewise, set character style to Default Style.
  • Go to Insert -> Section and delete any unwanted sections. Likewise, delete any unwanted tables or frames.

  • Right-click in the offending paragraph;
  • choose Paragraph... from the list in the pop-up dialog;
  • click the Area tab
  • click "None"
  • click "OK"

That should clear the background shading.
