How do I get months to display in the correct order (Jan, Feb, Mar etc)?

I assume you want to get a Pivot Table evaluating (adding, counting, averaging?) in groups by the month-parts of the dates contained in a range of data rows.
An example demonstrating how to get that is attached here.
Having the DATE as row field, go to a cell in that column and press [F12] Menu/Data/Group&Outline - Group
select month and if you like years. If you want order by months first move the column to the left of years dragging by the head, can looks also fine dragging months or years field to columns.
