CMYK colour list not available help info inaccurate

Hi,
I’m trying to create a pdf in LibreOffice Draw 6.0.6.2 and need to have the colours in CMYK format.
The Help documentation says

To load a color list:
1. Choose Format - Area, and then click the Colors tab.
2. Click the Load Color List button.
3. Locate the color list that you want to load, and then click Open. A color list file has the format [filename].soc.
To save a color list, click the Save Color List button, enter a filename, and then click Save.
The CMYK list is optimized for print colors. The colors in the Web and the HTML lists are optimized for displays using a resolution of 256 colors. The palettes libreoffice.soc and tango.soc contain the official LibreOffice and Tango colors respectively.

but there is no ‘Load Color List’ button all I can see is

There is nothing that looks like a colour list in pick or in add pallette, & no reference to CMYK in the palette dropdown.

So it looks like the help documentation is wrong for the version I’m using - or I’m missing something. In any event how can I ensure I’m using CMYK list of colours?

Under the ‘Colors’ section on the left (as per your screenshot) there is a Palette dropdown.

For me the second entry in the list is ‘cmyk’.

I checked the Palette dropdown, these are the options here (Imgur: The magic of the Internet)
CMYK isn’t on the list, only custom, tonal, standard, html, freecolour-hlc, libreoffice, chart-palettes and document colors.

I’ve managed to find where the .soc files (colour list files) are stored (/usr/lib/libreoffice/share/palette) but there’s no cmyk.soc file only the ones listed above, with the exception of custom & document colors. There’s also .sod .soe .sog .soh files.
If there’s a secure source for cmyk.soc from libreoffice I can download it & put it in the appropriate folder (& hope that works), but I can’t find one online.

I have no cmyk.soc file either, but I can choose the “cmyk” option.

EDIT: I just noticed you are using LO 6.0.6.2 - I am using 6.1.3.2. I do not know for sure, though, that the latter version will provide the missing colorspace: sorry.

You will not find a CMYK color palette for LibreOffice anywhere. LibreOffice works internally only with RGB values. RGB values are needed for on-screen display. Printers, on the other hand, need CMYK values because their machines can not do anything with RGB.

However, a CMYK value is only a correspondence to the RGB value. Example:
The color red:

The RGB value is R = 255, G = 0, B = 0 (returns hexadecimal ff0000) and corresponds to the

CMYK value C = 0%, M = 100%, Y = 100%, Key = 0%

If I choose the character color Red in LibreOffice

and Custom calls, the RGB and CMYK values are displayed.

I managed to find something from libre office design team too (New Color Palettes in LibreOffice - LibreOffice Design Team) indicating there may be a colour list which approximates well enough to CMYK to use, which ties in with your comments above.

Last version which comes with file cmyk.soc was 5.2.7. You can download it from that source.

You get it on the right side with item “plain”. Depending on your browser, but likely with right-click > save as or similar.

@Regina In the soc file specified by you but are synonymous only RGB values in it.

Yes, it is RGB. That was the reasons to not deliver the file any longer. It gives the wrong impression, that LibreOffice would be able to use CMYK.
