Hello,

i have a problem with adding a table of contents to a document, but there are certain rules in this document that must be keept.

the first thing is, I have page numbering started from page 9 as number 1, at this page there must be a table of contents. But when I add it to the page, it shows content from the beggining of doc from real page 1 to 9 that i dont want to see there. When i try do update the table of contents, it does not show any page above 9.

so question is how to make it work ? is there some options that should be checkd ?

any help will be appreciated.

The behavior heavily depends on how styles were set. Please, edit your question to upload a sample file and provide more details in what you need and what you get.

The problem is that you used an offset on the page numbering field instead of actually changing the page number. The best way to restart the page number is to go to Insert → More Breaks → Manual Break → select Page break and pick a Style (you can pick the same page style in use or a different one) → select the new page number.
