My text is shifting around in undesired ways.

LibreOffice version: 6.1.6.3 (x64)

OS: Windows 10

Program: LibreOffice Writer

As the topic states, sometimes my text goes all wonky; for example, I just found a page where there’s no text in the left column, at all. This mostly happens with a longer document that has a two-column setup and images, and especially when there’s a page break. (If you’re wondering “Why the odd design?”, I make tabletop RPG PDFs and it just makes reading easier.)

This seems to have been happening between versions, and I don’t get what’s wrong. Can someone help me figure out a fix that isn’t “lasts until you scroll a few pages”-level temporary? Because when I do fix it by backspace-then-redo-the-setup-from-before, it just lasts until I scroll, or at most until I save.

EDIT: Here’s an attachment. Untitled 2.odt The reason I didn’t upload one last night was because I didn’t think it’d work if I just copypasted the offending section. As you can see, clearly I’m a complete idiot.

More technical description is needed to diagnose the problem, e.g. is there a section break in the document? how is it styled? how frequent is direct-formatting? – this information should be provided by editing the question, not using an answer –

That indeed looks like a bug. Reproducible with 6.3.1.2. Removing then re-applying the break initially keeps the “DODGE [COMBAT]” where it was without the break (i.e., at right column of p.3), then removing the last empty paragraph before it moves it to where it should be (left column of p.4)… erratic behavior. Please file a bug report.

Thanks for the help. Bug report filed.
