SOLVED: Draw: New version makes file file 4x larger

I have a Draw .odg file that we created last November in whatever was the current version of Draw. It is a modified import from Visio and just under 6MB. It is 8 pages of block diagrams but no pictures or similar graphics.

I just updated to the newest version of Libre Office. If I open the file, make no changes and save it the file grows to over 26MB. What gives? Why is it nearly 500% larger with no changes? Is there a way to compress it or make it take less space. 6MB seemed large for the simple file but still able to e-mail. 26MB not so much.

After more searching this question provided the clue to my solution

After unchecking “Embed Fonts in the document” and checking “Only Embed Fonts that are used in the document” the file size is reduced from 26MB to 98K. Its crazy that it was taking 26MB of fonts, but it was. Problem solved.
