Calc Spreadsheet Bug

Clicking Calc Spreadsheet under Create: This pops up:

C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4\user\template\JSL EXCELTEMPLATE.ots does not exist

When I click OK then a normal Excel sheet opens. For Writer Doc/Impress/Draw/Math/Base there’s no pop up and they all open normally.

Referencing this [ https://bit.ly/2qeTTyY ] I have run Calc Spreadsheet in Safe Mode’s [Restore from backup] [Configure] [Extensions] [Reset to factory settings] [Advanced] with all boxes ticked/unticked in each Safe category. In Safe the Calc Spreadsheet bug is not repeated. I’ve reset my entire user profile. In Restart/Normal the Calc Spreadsheet bug is repeated. Is this a bug for Bugzilla? If I uninstall LibreOffice and delete all registry files etc if I re-install Libre will all my current files in LibreOffice still be available?

Excel sheet opens

You get an Excel sheet when opening a Calc sheet. ?

You state:

In Safe the Calc Spreadsheet bug is not repeated. I’ve reset my entire user profile. In Restart/Normal the Calc Spreadsheet bug is repeated.

This is contradictory - if you really have reset your user profile then the error should be gone, since it is not apparent in Safe Mode. I cannot imagine (may be for poor power of imagination) how a problem is gone in Save Mode but still apparent even if having reset the user profile. Please describe how you reset your user profile (Did you click Apply Changes and Restart button after having set Reset to factory settings - [x] Reset entire profile? Your description makes me assume you clicked Restart in Normal Mode which is wrong, if you want to reset to factory settings. Clicking Restart in Normal Mode means in that case Discard any settings here, I’ve changed my mind and keep everything as it was before).

Thank you.

I thought I updated my profile but I was mistaken.

The update was not complete.

Beginners luck I guess.

It’s working fine now.

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my post.

For the record (see your/OPs comment here)

Reset your user profile:

  • Start in Safe Mode using Help -> Restart in Safe Mode and confirm the restart using button: Restart
  • Archive your profile expanding Advanced (click on the word Advanced right above Help button) and click Archive User Profile button
  • Select option Reset to factory settiings
  • Activate [x] Reset entire user profile
  • Click button Apply Changes and Restart

Hope that helps.
