My LibreOffice came with the English (UK) dictionary pre-installed. I would like to install and use the dictionaries for English (USA) and Spanish (Mexico). How do I download and install these two additional dictionaries?

Version: Build ID: 1:6.3.5~rc2-0ubuntu0.18.04.1~lo1 CPU threads: 4; OS: Linux 5.3; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3; Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI-Language: en-US Calc: threaded

sudo apt install hunspell-en-us [English (USA)]
sudo apt install hunspell-es [Spanish (Mexico)]

should provide the additional dictionaries on Ubuntu 18.04.

Hope that helps.

Thank you Opaque. Initially the newly installed dictionaries did not show up, but then I remembered to restart LO, and they are there. Solved!

Alternatively to the other suggestion: get what you need from the extensions site and install.
