How can I stop 'Recent Files' appearing on LO v6.2

Unless I remember to delete the recent files I have been using they appear again when next logged on.
There is no security with this and I wish to prevent it happening.
Is there any way to stop it ?

Hello,

  • go to Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> Advanced -> Button: Open Expert Configuration
  • Search for: PickListSize
  • Set value to 0 (Double click the entry to change the value)

This will prevent LibreOffice to add any entry into the list of documents recently used.

Tested using LibreOffice: (works with 6.2 as well)

Version: 7.0.1.2; Build ID: 7cbcfc562f6eb6708b5ff7d7397325de9e764452
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 5.3; UI render: default; VCL: kf5
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8); UI: en-US; Calc: threaded

Hope that helps.

As answer one with slight additions…
.
(1) In Libre Office left click “tools”…
….(2) Then left click “options”.
(3) Open “Libre Office” list with double left click or by one left click on + sign.
(4) Highlight “advanced”.
(5) In the box opened, left click the “open Expert Configuration” option.
(6) Double left click on “org.openoffice.Office.Common”.
(7) Double left click “History”.
(8) Highlight “History” under “PickList”.
(9) At the bottom of box click “edit”.
(10) In the next box alter the value to zero.
(11) Left click “OK”.
(12) Then in the “Expert Configuration” box left click “OK”.
(13) Then in the “Advanced” box left click “OK”.
.
The boxes disappear to leave you back at Libre Office. This has worked for me on 06-10-2020.

Great answer! Just wonder how you found out.
