I am looking for a way to view two pages in the same doc side-by-side

There was an answer to a similar question: “View > Status Bar will display the status on the bottom of the window. On the right hand size choose between Single / Multiple View or Book. You can also change the size of the displayed pages.”

Apparently I need to start a new post – since I do not see the noted option once I invoke ‘View’.

TIA

Maybe you want to see another page, not adjoining the current one, at the same time, for example to write an introduction. Click Window > New window. Arrange both Windows side by side

Hard way:

Choose menu View - Zoom - Zoom… and check Columns.

Easy way:

Select the two equal pages icon (Multiple-page view) in the Status bar.

EDIT:

Multiple-page view screen

EDIT 2: Maybe you need to check Status Bar in menu View.

Tested with LibreOffice 6.4.7.2 (x86); OS: Windows 6.1.

I can’t find the icon in your screen-shot :smirk:

Then enable View>Status Bar

Not knowing which version you are using, try LeroyG’s Easy way. If the Multipage View doesn’t work try the ‘Book view’. It works great on my setup.
