how to group open programs on task bar

Hello Forum;

Question: Is there a way to group open or running LibreOffice programs in one icon on the task bar?

I have got the LibreOffice program pinned to my task bar. If I open a program like the Base Database program the icon appears at the end of the pinned programs on the task bar. I have got to scroll over to the right to get to the icon (see image).

What I need is to hover over the primary LibreOffice icon and be able to see both windows.

Thank you in advance.

I think you will find that this is a function of your Operating System. Which is?? …

@ve3oat ;

Thanks for responding to my question.

I forgot to mention my operating system. I am using Windows 10 Pro.

I had the same problem with CorelDraw which is a graphics design program. They (i.e. CorelDraw) had a workaround that I used to be able to group the open windows under the primary icon. I wasn’t sure if LibreOffice had a similar workaround.

Thanks again.

Try Windows "Start" > "Settings" > "Personalization" > "Taskbar".

@Hrbrgr ;

Thanks for responding.

I have already tried that setting under Combine taskbar buttons.

I have tried all three of the settings in that box: 1) Always, hide labels 2) When taskbar is full and 3) Never.

Neither setting has any impact.

Thank you for letting me explain to you what you have already tried but never wanted to tell anyone. :-1:
