Mailmerge wizard - select address list - cleanup?

I was playing around with mailmerge earlier today, trying to learn how to use it - and I now have a couple of bad entries in the Select Address List window that comes up when I get to Insert Address Block - Select Different Address List. I say they are bad because they have a Name, but no Table, and the OK button is gray if I select one of those lines. (Edit and Change Table are always gray. Could be because I am using a Libreoffice spreadsheet as the data table…) I have one good entry in the table at the moment.

Anyway, I just wondered if there is any way to delete the bad entries? Or delete the whole table of address lists and start over? That would be OK now, since I have very little in there - but not a good solution long term. And I could just leave them - but that seems messy too.

This is Libreoffice 4.2.1.1, running on Windows 8.1 x64.

Thanks
Dan

Just found the answer by accident!

Open a mail merge document, click File > Print > answer [Yes] on the dialog box “Your document contains address database fields. Do you want to print a form letter?”

Next, in the Mail Merge dialog box, right click the database that is currently highlighted in blue and select “Registered databases …” from the menu

You’ll see a list of .odb databases, probably in C:\Users\Username\Documents\ and, whilst they won’t be the original data sources you linked to, deleting these will remove the data sources from the main list (only the list; it doesn’t delete the original files). You can delete them all or leave the one you want if you’re sure it’s the right one.

I did not have any luck when I clicked the [New…] button at this point close the dialog box by clicking [OK] and [OK] again to close the Mail Merge window.

If you need to link a new database in the main document window, click Tools > Mail Merge Wizard > click on “3. Insert address block.” then the [Select Address List…] button and in the new dialog box click the [Add…] button and browse to find your new data source.

Click [Ok] and then when you get back to the Mail Merge Wizard click [Cancel] or you’ll end up merging everything.

Hope that helps.
